Financial Health Check — how organised are your family finances?
Look beyond the bank balance. Find the questions that need attention.
Discuss my financial health checklist →A financial health check is a structured look at how your household’s money, commitments and records fit together. It helps you identify gaps in information and preparation. It does not predict a return, produce a credit score or certify that a portfolio is suitable.
Work through the questions using a private notebook or your own record. There is no automatic score or PDF-report claim on this page, and the enquiry form does not ask for financial account balances.
Income and regular cash flow
Can you explain reliable after-tax income, necessary spending and what changes during a difficult month? Include annual fees, premiums and irregular commitments in the cash calendar rather than treating every apparent monthly surplus as available to invest.
Emergency arrangements and access
What could interrupt income, and which funds can actually be accessed when needed? Record withdrawal conditions and relevant contact routes. The purpose is readiness; a reserve should not be judged only by its return.
Goals and contribution affordability
Do education, retirement and other family goals have dates and an agreed currency? Is the proposed contribution affordable after near-term commitments? Use a calculator to compare assumptions while remembering that its smooth projection is not a promise.

Ownership, debt and existing protection records
Can you identify each investment’s owner, purpose and statement location? List loan obligations and payment dates. Record the policies the family already holds, renewal dates and where the evidence is stored; this checklist does not offer or select insurance products.
Nominations and continuity
Check the institution’s recorded information after important family changes. Identify a trusted person who knows where the record index is stored. Information access is different from dealing authority or legal entitlement; specialist questions need the appropriate professional.
Turn observations into a short action list
For each gap, write the missing evidence, the person who will obtain it and a review date. Separate an institution-record correction from an investment decision or a professional opinion. Keep the sensitive evidence in an appropriate secure place.
A household finds that annual education fees were missing from its budget and a nominee update has no acknowledgement. Its next steps are to add the fee dates to the cash calendar and check the institutional record. A high or low “score” would not complete either task.
Questions worth asking
Does this assess my creditworthiness or investment suitability?
No. It is an educational organisation checklist, not a credit decision, personalised recommendation or regulated suitability assessment.
Must I upload statements or identity documents?
No. The first conversation can start with a summary. Do not send passwords, OTPs, PAN or account statements through the public enquiry form.
Will I receive an automatic financial-health report?
This page provides a written checklist and a contact form. It does not claim an automatic score or generated report.
